OLP Launches New Concept in eDiscovery Training
Non-Profit Presents Comprehensive Learning Experience Using EDRM

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - May 4, 2011 - The Organization of Legal Professionals, a nonprofit industry group that includes some of the most respected eDiscovery and litigation support thought leaders in the field, announced today that it is opening registration for its newly redesigned online, interactive eDiscovery courses.

The redesigned courses implement a "dual-track" option, presenting the same material but in two different levels of intensity. "Executive Track courses will be appropriate for those students who want to learn more about the topics and earn continuing education credit," said Chere Estrin, who chairs the OLP's Board of Directors. "Students seeking eDiscovery certification though the OLP's groundbreaking examination are encouraged to enroll in the Technical Track classes because they provide the substantive information useful for future certification testing."

Courses offered in both the Executive Track and the Technology Track include:

Information Management              Identification, Preservation & Collection
             Process & Analysis                     Presentation

The Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) Project was created in 2005 to address the lack of standards and guidelines in the eDiscovery market. The completed reference model provides a common, flexible and extensible framework for the development, selection, evaluation and use of electronic discovery products and services. More information about EDRM is available at www.edrm.net.

The first course starts May 17th.  Students may take one or more classes.  Seating is limited to 25 seats per class.  "The courses are reasonably and affordably priced to match today's lean budgets," said Estrin.  "The most important goal for OLP is to get as much quality training out to the legal community as possible."

Top eDiscovery instructors from major law firms and consultants include:  Matt Knouff, Esq., CDS and Chair of the New York County Lawyers Associations sub-committee on eDiscovery; Hunter McMahon, eDiscovery Consultant;  Romana Ramirez, Litigation Support Manager & Instructor, UCSB;  Kirke Snyder, JD, MSLA, well-known eDiscovery expert and Law Professor;  Chris Reddy, HarrisBeach; Debora Motyka Jones, Esq., eDiscovery expert, Lighthouse Technologies, formerly with Weil & Gotshal;  Greg Kelley, eDiscovery expert, Vestige; and other well-known legal icons.

"As the eDiscovery and litigation support industries continue to evolve rapidly, we are constantly anticipating future needs and realigning our offerings to ensure professionals are ahead of the curve," said Estrin. "The depth of knowledge and vast experience taught by OLP's leading instructors will help us keep our courses on the cusp of emerging legal technology and expertise."

About the Organization of Legal Professionals: The OLP drives education and best practices and provides certification for those involved in complex litigation support, ensuring the requisite level of competency in trial support and e-discovery is met. www.theolp.org.
