Los Angeles -- March 5, 2010 – The Organization of Legal Professionals, a group of e-discovery and litigation support providers, litigators, administrators and judges that includes some of the most respected thought leaders in the field, announced today that Henry Alonso has been named to its 2010 Advisory Panel. Alonso manages case management systems in a federal agency.
As a member of the 2009 Advisory Panel, Alonso assisted in the OLP’s formation, which included coordination with the group’s Board of Governors to begin its mission to establish global e-discovery and other legal standards and certifications through collaboration and education. The OLP plans to make its first certification exam available later this year.
“Being a member of the OLP Advisory Panel is a privilege,” said Alonso. “I look forward to contributing to the ongoing efforts to improve the quality of litigation support and overcome some of the challenges the legal industry faces as technology advances.”
Alonso has more than 20 years experience as a litigation support professional. He managed numerous high profile document intensive cases, evidence identification, collection and review projects for corporations, law firms and government agencies. He is credited with implementing litigation support into law firms and agencies as well as acting as an e-discovery expert providing written and oral advice and best practices solutions.
Before joining the federal government, Alonso formed and managed his own company, Alonso Consulting and Training, Inc., to perform computer forensic examinations, provide consulting on early case assessment, risk management and train e-discovery professionals. Before that, he co-founded Advanced Imaging Solutions, Inc., which pioneered litigation support, consulting, training and outsourcing services to the legal industry and government agencies in the mid-Atlantic area. At Advanced Imaging, Alonso developed the first CTSummation Litigation Support Bootcamp which gained popularity and were held all over the country.
Alonso is a nationally recognized speaker on automated litigation support, e-discovery and the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure as well as a Certified Computer Forensic Examiner (CCE) and Certified Summation Trainer. Named “One of the nine most influential contributors to the paralegal profession” by KNOW magazine in 2008, Alonso was also awarded the 2003 Lifetime Vendor Award from the National Capitol Area Paralegal Association.
“Henry has the vision and expertise that is helping us establish the OLP as a reputable certification leader for the legal industry,” said Chere Estrin, Chair of the OLP Board of Directors. “He understands the challenges we face and is able to craft solutions while serving as an advocate for the needs of the litigation support profession. We are delighted he continues to serve on our Advisory Panel.”
